Mission Statement

The official St. Mark’s Mission Statement is “Our purpose as a church is two-fold. First, we aim to provide Christians with spiritual nourishment. Members of St. Mark grow and mature through a lifelong study of God’s Word and diligent use of the sacraments. Christian fellowship also plays an important role as we praise God together and confess our faith together in worship.

Second, we strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ, our Savior from sin and death. St. Mark exists to seize every opportunity to proclaim the love of Jesus to lost souls in our community and throughout the world.”

In order to assist St. Mark’s in this mission, the St. Mark’s library strives to provide a variety of materials with the intent of providing information, serving the needs of the congregation, and contributing to the spiritual growth of the congregation.
